Right Bower

Euchre, the Michigan way. Play with friends over local WiFi — no internet needed, no ads, no subscription. Just cards.

In Development — Android APK Available

Right Bower is a local-multiplayer euchre card game for Android. The free tier includes a full single-player experience against three AI opponents. A one-time unlock enables hosting a game on your local WiFi — friends join with a room code from their own phones.

What makes it different

Real euchre rules

Right & left bowers, going alone, stick-the-dealer, march scoring. The way Michigan plays it.

📶

Local WiFi multiplayer

One phone hosts, others join by room code. Works on any shared WiFi — no internet, no accounts, no servers.

🚫

No ads. Ever.

No banner ads, no interstitials, no rewarded video. The brand promise is clean euchre.

💰

One-time purchase

Free single-player forever. Host unlock is a one-time $3.99 — no subscription, no recurring charges.

🤖

Credible AI opponents

Rule-based AI tuned against 5 million simulated matches. Knows when to bid, when to pass, when to go alone.

🔒

Privacy-first

Zero data collection. No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking. The app doesn’t phone home.

How multiplayer works

  1. Host opens Right Bower and taps “Host game.” A four-character room code appears on screen.
  2. Friends open Right Bower on their phones (same WiFi network) and tap “Join game.” They enter the room code or pick the game from the nearby list.
  3. Host taps “Start.” The match begins. Everyone plays from their own phone — your hand is private, the table is shared.
  4. First to 10 wins. Euchres, marches, and going alone all count. Standard Michigan rules, no surprises.

Current status

Right Bower is in active development. The euchre engine, AI opponents, single-player UI, and local multiplayer networking are all built and tested (121 automated tests passing, including a full 4-player match over real TCP sockets). An Android APK is available for sideload testing.

What’s shipping now: Single-player vs AI + local WiFi multiplayer on Android.
What’s next: UI polish, Michigan/Midwest brand identity, Google Play Store submission.
iOS: Planned. The codebase (Flutter) supports both platforms — iOS builds will ship when a Mac build environment is available.
